Announced earlier this week by developer Tequila Works, Deadlight is a post-apocalyptic action puzzler set to release on Xbox Live Arcade this summer. And although the details of the story remain hazy, its set to be placed in 1986 Vancouver, with you playing as one Randall Wayne, a gravelly voiced beardsman who seems to enjoy defining the nature of humanity’s morality when note precariously jumping from highway signs.
As a deeply entrenched Vancouverite, I find myself incredibly excited to see a game set in my backyard. For too long gamers have trawled the streets of New York or LA, it’s about time the rest of the world gets to witness the rain-soaked beauty of the Canadian West.
Deadlight is only going to be available on the Xbox 360, and is currently set to be released this summer.
