Guys, I’m in real trouble here. For many of us, one of the most addicting aspects of Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls series has been the character creation. I spent hours customizing the look of my first character in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and these new screen shots of variations on the 10 playable races in the new Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim are well… tantalizing. Gone are the shiny, dead-eyed faces, of the previous game. Each race looks like it has different options for tattoos, unique facial hair, even the option to have one eye a different colour than the other (or maybe that’s the result of some hideous facial scar?) As I said, when this game comes out in early November, I can easily see myself spending hours upon hours making my first character looks just so.

Bethesda will be giving the general public a chance to go hands on with Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim this weekend at PAX Prime.
